Hickman Enjoys Strong Labor Day Triple Crown

Riley Hickman enjoyed a strong trio of outings over the weekend as part of the Labor Day Triple Crown.
Action opened on Friday night at Boyd's Speedway for Round #1 of the Triple Crown, which boosted a $3,000 top prize. Hickman raced his way into the main event via preliminary action, and later drove his #R1 BIF Motorsports/Hickman Manufacturing Company/CVR/Phantom Racing Engine Super Late Model to a second place finish behind race winner, Ronnie Johnson. Ivedent Lloyd Jr., Jamie Perry, and Mike Tinker rounded out the top five finishers. Full results from the event are available at www.BoydsSpeedway.net

Saturday night took the team to Fort Payne Motor Speedway (Fort Payne, Alabama), as twenty-three entries looked to chase the $3,000 winner's check. In the 50 lap main event Hickman battled to a sixth place finish in the final rundown. Complete results can be found at www.FortPayneMotorSpeedway.com

The final event of the Labor Day Triple Crown took place on Sunday evening at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee). Twenty-six competitors converged on the oval, as Hickman raced to a second place finish in the $3,000-to-win, 50 lap finale behind race winner, Josh Putnam. Full results are available at www.DuckRiverRacewayPark.com

Riley's consistency earned him the most points among the drivers who attended all three events, awarding him a $1,000 payday for his efforts.
