Busy Weekend for Riley Hickman Racing

It was a busy weekend for Riley Hickman Racing that began on Friday night at Cleveland Speedway (Cleveland, Tennessee).
Hickman piloted his #R1 BIF Motorsports/Hickman Manufacturing Company Crate Late Model to his second victory of the season in a Weekly Racing Series program at the 3/8-mile oval. Complete results can be found at www.ClevelandSpeedwayLLC.com

Action shifted to North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) on Saturday for another Weekly Racing Series event in the Crate Late Model division. Riley charged to a second place finish in the main event. For more information, visit www.NorthGASpeedway.net

The weekend drew to a close on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the annual March Madness. The $7,500-to-win program, which was sanctioned by the Southern All Star (SAS) Racing Series, drew a field of twenty-seven entries. Hickman posted the fastest lap in Group B of time trials, locking him into the second starting spot for the 60-lap finale.

Hickman battled amongst the top five for the first half of the race, avoiding a lap 16 melee only to tangle with a slower car while battling lapped traffic on lap 38. Hickman spun, but was able to rejoin the tail of the field for the restart. In the closing laps, Riley moved forward to recover a seventh place finish in the final rundown.
