Hickman scores top-five finish in season opener at I-75

The 2022 season got underway for Riley Hickman on Saturday afternoon at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) aboard his Franklin Enterprises No. R1 Late Model. With a second-place finish in his B-Main pinning him on the seventh row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Hickman advanced through the field nine spots in the 40-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Cory Hedgecock, Mack McCarter, David Payne, and Heath Hindman to the checkers.
