13th-place finish in Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore

Riley Hickman returned to the driver’s seat of the CVR Race Cars No. 17 Late Model over the weekend for the two-day Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.).

Against a stout field of 40 Rogers Dabbs Chevrolet Crate Racin’ USA 604 Series entries, Hickman fell short of a transferring out of his heat race on Friday, relegating him into a consolation race on Saturday night.

Racing into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a seventh-to-third showing in his B-Main, Riley advanced forward nine more positions in the 50-lap affair to finish 13th.
