Bryson Hickman finds victory lane with Red Clay Series at I-75 Raceway
The Hickman Racing clan prepared for a busy weekend at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) as both the Southern All Stars and Red Clay Series rolled into town.
Drew competed in the Sportsman portion of the event on Friday evening and ran second to Cameron Hawkins in the 20-lap feature. Riley unloaded his Super Late Model for the $10,053 TarHeel 53 on Saturday, but dealt with mechanical issues and was a scratch after qualifying.
Bryson found the most sucess over the two-day event as he picked up a $2,000 payday with the Red Clay Series on Friday evening. Laying down the second-fastest lap out of 14 602 Late Model entries, Hickman took the lead from Koulten Herbert on the opening lap and raced to his ninth checkered flag of the season. He also raced in the 604 Late Model show on Saturday and finished 11th.
